Para sa linggong ito ng Litratong Pinoy, ako ay nagbabalik matapos ang ilang panahong pagkakawala dahil na rin sa nakaraang mga bakasyon/holidays.
My blue and brown themed living room with my fluffy and soft blue and brown throw pillow, found on sale for $3 at Homegoods. Nice no? And yes, until now my christmas tree is up:)…aabutan na ng susunod na kapaskuhan! hehe! Happy LP to all!

Sa sobrang eksaytment sa bagong parmesan cheese na ito, napilitan akong gumawa ng pasta para magamit na ito agad. Ang maganda dito, meron na siyang sariling grater para sa mas madaling at malinis na gamit.
This is a new found kitchen bling I discovered recently. It’s a fresh parmesan cheese with a built in grater for an easier, faster and less messy grating. The very day I bought it, I had to make some pasta for dinner because of over excitement!

What is at the end of that tunnel? For us it was all about shopping during the long thanksgiving weekend! Amazing how all shops and restaurants are all packed during this very important holiday! Lng lines were all over the place! geesh!

Litratong Pinoy: Pagwawagi

Para sa akin ito ay isa ring pamamaraan ng pagwawagi, ang masiyahan ang iyong pamilya lalong lalo na ang mga anak sa isang pagkain na pinaghirapan mong gawin at lutuin. Hindi ba’t napakasarap ng pakiramdam kapag nakarinig ka ng mga katagang, ‘yum!’ o ‘i want more!’
For me, this is one triumphant dessert, my strawberry crepes. Doesn’t it feel good to know that you have concocted a dish that your family just can’t get enough of?

Litratong Pinoy-Madumi

Ito po ang aking unang lahok para sa Litratong Pinoy na may temang MADUMI. Hindi man kitang madumi ang trak na ito, ang laman naman nito ay siguradong ubod ng dumi dahil dito inilalagak ang lahat ng basura. At natyempuhan ko pang kasalukuyan itong nangangakal ng basura sa isang kainan na malapit sa aking tahanan.
This is my very first entry for Litratong Pinoy with the theme MADUMI or dirty. Evenif you don’t find the garbage trucks dirty outside, this definitely has all garbage inside. Fortunately, I was in a restaurant near my house when I saw this truck collecting garbage.

This is my very first entry for Lasang Pinoy, Sundays. The theme is all about two toned food or anything related to food. My simple and nutritious tomato soup drizzled with a little double cream. It’s simplicity thickened by the creamy milk becomes even more delicious yet very easy to make.

we have finally settled. and we love it here, most especially the kids. a new house, new neighborhood, new school, new job for H. but then, i want to move again. current situations. just feeling sad at the moment. maybe this will pass. as they say, life goes on. and i made a pact to keep updating this website. and thanks to a friend who kept pushing me to do a blog myself…something to get my hands full, i hope.

in a few days…
sad and happy at the same time, that’s how it feels as we move on to another chapter in our lives. we will miss New York, our friends, the subway, the delis, central park, the people…all the 4 years that we have spent there.
